Singles Walking Weekends for solos, friends or couples.

singles and friends walking weekendsSingles Walk Weekender breaks are ideal for independent walkers, couples or friends who would like to come walking alone rather than as part of a bigger group. (We consider a group to consist of 6 or more guests).

On certain weekends throughout the summer we run weekends for hikers who would like to join in with other independent and single walkers to create a sociable group to share the experience of mountain walking in the stunning Aravis area.

On arrival at the Lodge you will meet the rest of your group for the weekend over dinner and a few drinks in the bar. Your walking hosts will talk to you about the walks over the weekend, showing you routes on the map and preparing you for the days ahead.

We will then host you for the weekend, taking you to peaks and view points which best allow you to see the beauty of the region for yourself. Our guided walks are graded to the ability of the majority of the group, but we always have maps and paper guides available for anyone who may like to walk independently or explore alone during the day, meeting up with the others for dinner.

There will be opportunities for you to visit the traditional pretty villages in the area for coffee, aperitifs or browsing in the boutique shops. It may also be possible to visit the medieval lakeside town of Annecy, just half an hour away, to go to the vast Sunday market or swim in the lake if the weather is good.

If you are a lady travelling alone or with a couple of friends you may like to consider our Women's only walking weekends, allowing you to meet and walk with other ladies of a similar mindset to you.

For dates of weekends when it is possible to come as a single walker visit our prices and availability pages.

Our packages on our singles weekends are the same as our standard weekend walking packages.

NB We don't implement single supplements for solo travellers, although single rooms are limited.
