Come and enjoy a short walking break in our fantastic French chalet - ideal for mountain holidays. The Aravis Lodge is a large, summer chalet-style accommodation, originally dating back to 1905, situated in the heart of the beautiful Aravis mountains at a height of 950metres.
The Lodge is very friendly with a convivial atmosphere - which makes it
great everyone, from large groups
and clubs to singles
or friends traveling together for short walking breaks.
Highlights of the Lodge include:
The Aravis Lodge is based in the village of St Jean de Sixt, on the doorsteps of the main summer walking resorts of Grand Bornand and La Clusaz - both just 2km away. St Jean de Sixt has everything you will need for a short walking break in the mountains in terms of outdoor shops, bars and shops, with the bigger villages offering a slightly bigger choice of amenities. With Annecy just half an hour away as well, the lodge is the ideal summer chalet base for mountain holidays.

The Aravis Lodge is a special place to spend your mountain holiday. The chalet is furnished in a comfortable alpine style, with plenty of room to spend time relaxing on your own - watching TV, checking your emails or reading a book - but is also a really friendly sociable place to share your experiences - in the bar with friends, playing games as a group and eating together
Many people come on short walking breaks on their own but soon make friends once they arrive. The mix of people who stay in our French chalet all contribute to the great atmosphere, brought about by the day's shared experiences walking in the mountains and fun had sharing tales at dinner!
The other great thing about our french chalet are the people who run it!
Always there to help you, guests appreciate our guided walks, local knowledge
and minibus lifts to/from villages and walk start and end points if need
be. We even supply you with a packed lunch if your walk is a little out
of the way of restaurants.
At the end of the day everyone enjoys home made cakes and a delicious 3 course dinner with wine, after which the comfortable homely lodge comes into it's own as guests collapse on squashy sofas, watch TV or relax in the bar.
The close proximity to the villages of Grand Bornand and La Clusaz means that guests with stamina can go out drinking and dancing after dinner if they wish!
