A peaceful evening stroll through the village of La Clusaz, lit only by moonlight and candles. Artists and local produce suppliers will have the occasional stall for you to browse, whilst being serenaded by music as you go. A magical and enchanting alpine experience.
A weekend of games, entertainment, activities and shows. Throughout the two days you will discover traditional dances while enjoying the giant tartiflette (local cheese and potato speciality) and wandering through the stands. In the evening soak up the atmosphere of the village dance with music, refreshments and coloured garlands.
A parade of floats, re-enacted scenes through "tableaux vivants", activities, bread making, and folk dances...a day to celebrate our craftsmen and farmers and our famous Reblochon cheese, made late in the afternoon in a huge copper cauldron and eaten freshly moulded. Over 5000 spectators come every year to the green pastures of the Bossonnet to recapture some of the spirit of the olden days and to taste many Savoyard specialities.
This is the first of the mountain autumn fairs and it is held in the Thônes district. It brings together the best "Abondance" cows that aspire to the highest distinctions. It also hosts the best Reblochon contest. Mountain farmers, shepherds and goat herders all get together to celebrate the end of summer and the return of the herds and flocks to the village. Enjoy the parade of animals, the contests and an evening with the farmers.
